Let me explain what Summer Solstice Harvest of Blessing actually is so you will understand more.
Back in "the day" a little girl who lived in Iowa remembered a man who had a huge, huge garden. He was passionate about his garden, growing vegetables, setting up a table with his baskets of vegetables and fruit on the side of the dirt road. Along with the fruits and vegetables on this table sat a box. In this box was the accumulation of the monies that each individual could pay for his vegetables. He didn't concern himself that some might pay more or some might pay less. He just asked them to "pay what they could." He wanted to be a part of his community. His passion for his garden and helping others were his reasons for doing what he did.. It was the late 1930's maybe. Everyone needed to eat. He was simply doing what he loved, gardening, and provided a means for people to partner with him to provide food for those who couldn't afford to pay a lot but needed to eat.
This is what our Summer Solstice Harvest of Blessing actually is. We are passionate about what we do. We too, just ask that you "pay what you can" during this season. Some of you may want to pay more, some what the rates normally are and some may want to pay less. We really aren't concerned that some might pay more or some might pay less or even that some may pay nothing. We aren't responsible for what is placed on an individuals heart to pay nor do we pass judgement on anyone for their amount.
It is a blessing. It is a blessing to be in partnership with those who pay more, those who pay regular price and those who pay what they can. We are grateful to do what we do and be a blessing to many. It isn't about what is fair, judging what some do or do not pay. It is simply intended to be a blessing and we have the privalege to give.
Thank you for your understanding, the many, many, many words expressing your encouragement for what we are doing and your participation in our Summer Solstice Blessing! Thanks for "getting it."
What? Yes, pay what you can.
Why? Many reasons.
#1. YOU NEED OUR SPA SERVICES!
No longer considered "frivolous spending", spa services have pulled out in front for health benefits which actually reduce stress in turn improves overall health. Go to my June 7, 2010, newsletter on this web site and read the links to the articles I placed in the newsletter. Search online and find many articles written to support this.
#2. "By helping someone you will also help yourself."
We aren't worried about anyone coming in and "ripping us off." It is a step of faith which we are taking to show you who we are and the incredible services we offer! (That is not to say we won't execute our right to refuse service should we believe we are being taken advantage of, however.) You will no longer be that person who "has driven by here 1,000 times and didn't stop!" We work for a bigger purpose and a larger cause than ourselves!
#3. It is a gift! Don't be embarrassed to participate!
Essence of Eve Day Med Spa provides such a place for "such a time as this."
Yes, this summer will again be a "scaled back" summer for most of us because of the economy and now an oil spill.
I and this staff want you to see for yourself who we genuinely are, what we do best,
and for you to enjoy this incredible location which was designed specifically for you in mind.
It is our way of giving back and gifting to our community. We know you realize we have costs to cover and will be considered when you determine what you can pay for your service you receive.
#4. We will not monitor the amount you pay.
The only way we might know what you pay is in the event you desire to pay by credit card or check which will require interaction with the front desk Spa Concierges. Cash payment will not be "counted" or assessed. It is truly a pay what you can summer so you can tell others about EofE is, what wonderful services we have and to enjoy it for yourself!
#5 How long will this special last, are there any services excluded, and will the services be of the same nature as if we were paying for them at regular price?
The special will last until September 1, 2010.
Yes, the following services are excluded: surgeries, injectables, laser and hCG services will be at regular pricing.
Yes, your services will be the same quality of service as though you were paying regular price for them.
#6 What do I need to do to participate?
Determine your schedule, what you can pay, phone the spa and schedule your services! Don't be frustrated however, if you cannot get in on the dates you desire! We are getting a lot of response to this!
