Is a syringe of Botox the same everywhere? No, it may not be!
I have had the opportunity to assist Dr. Joseph many, many times. I will tell anyone who listens, "Two things that make Botox a success - no three. The person behind the needle, the integrity of the person mixing the Botox and your metabolism."
Most women believe men actually look "sophisticated" with crows feet. But not the "credit card slot" between the eyes or those "horizontal furrows" across the brow.
Men typically require anywhere from 40-75 units depending on the number of areas, i.e., between the eyes is an area, the brow is another area, the eyes are another area, etc.
Botox--$11 per unit
Here's what you as a Botox consumer, need to know.
First: If you have an allergy to eggs, have a muscle disorder (or pregnant or nursing - which you men aren't) you ARE NOT A CANDIDATE FOR BOTOX!
Second: If you take metabolism boosting drugs, herbs or stimulants, your Botox will most likely not last what is considered an average length of time, i.e., 3-4 months.
Third: Men require more Botox than women; their muscle mass is larger typically.
Juvederm®--
$425 per syringe for Ultra (lasts about 6-9 months
$499 per syringe for Ultra Plus (lasts about 12 months)--injection used to instantly restore skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds.
Restylane®--
$399 per syringe (lasts about 3-6 months)--dermal filler injection used to reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and lines.
Perlane®--
$425 per syringe--dermal filler injection used to reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and lines. It is injected deeper in skin than Restylane. For more information, visit the Perlane® website.

About Botox: a purified protein derivative from a bacteria, shipped freeze dried, has no volume and must be diluted before injecting. Typically responds 5-7 days post injection, lasts approximately 3-6 months.
Our dilution:
We use pharmaceutical grade .9% sterile saline to dilute 2.5 units per 1/10 ML (milliliter) is our ratio; 4 to 1 - the recommended dilution ratio by Allergan.

Holds 1 ML (milliliter) which is also 1CC of any injectable product
Holds diluted Botox of 25 units based on our dilution ratio (2.5 units per 1/10 ML)
Two things you need to know:
Dilution Ratio & Price Per Unit
A syringe or 1 CC (1ML) of diluted Botox, diluted at 2.0 has less Botox content (lesser efficacy) than that of a syringe diluted at 2.5! The greater the dilution ratio the greater the efficacy!
The 2.0 diluted Botox may be priced the same as the 2.5 diluted Botox if it is priced per CC (or per syringe) but the efficacy value will not be the same.
If it is priced per unit and you are charged per unit then the price of the 2.5 unit of course will be greater than the 2.0 but your efficacy will be greater as well!
When you're shopping for Botox, ask about their dilution ratio! We communicate our dilution ratio because we are comfortable with the efficacy and we want our consumers to be educated consumers!
About Juvederm® & Restylane® are dermal fillers comprised of hyaluronic acid which your body already has. The duration is dependent on your body's absorption - some may absorb quicker than others may. The one difference in Juvederm from Restylane® is that with Juvederm® the molecules are larger - the hyaluronic gel is greater viscosity. All dermal fillers used for plumping lips at Essence of Eve Day Med Spa includes a dental block. Should you decline administration of the dental block, there is no reduction in price.
Juvederm® Ultra (lasts 9-12 months) & Juvederm Ultra Plus (lasts 1 year)
A sterile, biodegradable, homogenized clear gel implant consisting of crosslinked hyaluronic acid (HA); a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body - it's role is to deliver nutrients and hydrate the skin by holding water and to act as a cushioning agent, injected into dermal layers to plump, reducing appearance of wrinkles and providing fullness, immediate results, lasts 9 - 12 months depending on Ultra or Ultra Plus, does not require dilution, packaged ready for injection, one syringe is a standard injection amount for minimal wrinkles.
