Essence of Eve Day Spa Receives 2008 Best of Mckinney Award
U.S. Local Business Association's Award Plaque Honors the Achievement
WASHINGTON D.C., July 8, 2008 -- Essence of Eve Day Spa has been selected for the 2008 Best of Mckinney Award in the Spas category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).
The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2008 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.

Darla, you know I have been a huge fan since I accidentally ran into a friend of yours and was invited for a spontaneous tour of the not yet opened Essence of Eve Day Spa. The promise of a spiritual, emotional, and physical haven offering excellent services from a staff dedicated to anticipating your every need has never faltered.
Because of your dedication, I wanted to reiterate a recent experience that I shared with you and Kirsten today for your web site. Please feel free to use any of it that you feel is appropriate.
Last week, my husband and I were at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay, California. Knowing my fondness for spa retreats, he surprised me with a day at the renowned Ritz Carlton Spa. Needless to say, I was thrilled. Here I was in a beautiful hotel on the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. What could be more perfect?
Well, I will tell you. It was lovely and the services were nice, but there was this feeling of something missing; something not there. Then, I realized that what was missing was the total ambiance of peace and well being that is the heart of Essence of Eve. That overall sense of finding oneself in an enchanting sanctuary nestled in the middle of everyday life was just not there. What is the secret of creating a place of dreams in a building that was once home to caskets and barbeque? A place where no service requested is ever too small or too large? I think the answer is in the souls of you and your staff, you are all truly the keepers of the inn.
